What will they say about you when you’re gone?

Rabbi Daniel Cohen, the author of “What will they say about you when you’re gone?”,  joins Dr. Bunny for a wonderful discussion about life and making a difference in the world.

With the holidays upon us, there is a natural pause built into our culture to celebrate the harvest and to give thanks. Unfortunately, these days too many have let politics and other difficult problems cause rifts in relationships.

How can we heal this? Is there a way to come together? It is the holidays, after all.

Here are some tips from Rabbi Daniel Cohen:

~ Seize the Present. We spend too much time living with regrets or worrying about the future. We miss the opportunities in the present. Text or Call someone with whom we have lost touch or take for granted and let them know how much they mean to you.

~ Cultivate Gratitude – It is the secret to friendships and healing. Keep a gratitude journal. We will wake up with humility and healing to be more patient, understanding and kind.

~ See the Divine and Good in Everyone – Be as forgiving to others as we are of ourselves. We are quick to overlook our own flaws. Do the same with those around you. Do not dig for the dirt but mine for the gold.

~ Change One Person: Change the World. One spark, one kind deed, one light can transform a world of despair and darkness intro one of hope and healing. We only live once. Create an Eiljah Moment. In the words of William Penn – “I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.”
